Before 2020, remote work in Switzerland remained marginal, mainly reserved for executives or the most progressive companies. At the end of the previous decade, approximately 24% of Swiss workers worked from home at least one day a week, a figure that slowly increased by approximately 1% per year between 2013 and 2018 ([reddit.com][1], [www2.deloitte.com][2]). In the IT sector, flexibility alreadyexisted, but fully remote options were rare and often limited to one or two days at home.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, remote work became an immediate requirement. Suddenly, thousands of IT professionals had to set up a home office, often without prior preparation. This abrupt transition led to a major shift: up to 50% of workers worked from home, an unprecedented level ([reddit.com][3]). In tech professions, this was accompanied by an acceleration in the adoption of collaborative digital tools and agile practices adapted to remote working.
